Vegas Bound Baby!

Tomorrow I leave for Las Vegas!  I am so beyond excited.  My passion for health and fitness coaching turned into a free trip to a health and fitness coaching convention!  It is amazing how much life can change in just 5 months. :)

While I am there I will get to workout with and meet some of my favorite trainers such as:

 Chalene

The wonderful Chalene Johnson who will not only be doing a live PiYo workout for us but will also be attending our private coach breakfast!

AutumnAutumn Calabrese who will be doing a live 21 Day Fix workout with us and who will also be speaking out our private coach breakfast!

shauntony

And a super workout that includes Chalene, Autumn and these 2 guys (Tony Horton and Shaun T!)

I absolutely cannot wait to get back and share all of the pictures and nuggets of information I learned while there!  And when I get back it will be time to start my PiYo test group!  So excited!

Until then all, Viva Las Vegas!

PiYo Test Group!

I still have 1 spot open for my PiYo Test group starting in early July!

What is PiYo? PiYo is a high-intensity, low-impact workout for a new kind of STRONG. Chalene Johnson took the very best Pilates- and yoga-inspired moves and cranked up the speed to give you full-throttle cardio, strength, and flexibility training—all at once.

Walls…

Chile WallsA few years back I decided to pursue my MBA. It scared me. Going out alone and out of my comfort zone Freaked.Me.Out.

During the beginning of the program I built up a wall. I didn’t really let many people in. I also felt that I wasn’t as good as many of them. That they were far smarter than I was and that they had far more experience.

I created a wall.

Then I got sick of this wall. I wasn’t reaching my full potential and I wasn’t getting everything out of the program that I COULD be getting. The relationships and connections with others. So I decided to take a leap of faith and go on a study abroad trip. I didn’t really know ANYBODY going on this trip. I was so incredibly nervous.

But you know what happened? My walls fell down. It was one of the best trips I have been on. The best part? I was myself and people liked me and I built friendships. Friendships that still exist.

When you blame other forces outside of yourself, that’s akin to building a wall and leaving your power on the other side of it.

It’s time to start breaking those walls down.

Because the truth is…

  • Someone is waiting to fall in love with exactly the person you are.
  • An incredible employer is waiting to hire you for the talents you possess.
  • Your perfect job is out there waiting to be found.
  • You have everything it takes to get healthy and fit.
  • There are opportunities out there for you to make extra income, just waiting for you to grab them. You are worthy of love.
  • You can start a business right now. Maybe it’ll fail. Maybe it’ll succeed. If you’re following your heart and gut, it’ll be one of the best things you ever do either way.
  • Joy is all around you, every day, all the time.

You are not alone. There are thousands—if not millions—of people around the world struggling with the same fears, insecurities, and walls that you are right now.

The difference between those who are ultimately successful and those who are not? People who become successful are great at breaking down pre-existing walls and preventing new ones from going up. They knew the secret: everything they wanted was waiting for them on the other side of the walls they built.

You’re no different.

And if there is something you want to change, then change it.

Health and Fitness Coaching UPDATE!

I have so much to update you all on but first I am going to update you on my health and fitness coaching.  I feel blessed that this has come into my life and here is WHY.

  • I have helped over 50 people in the past 3 months become not only happier and healthier but more POSITIVE!  The support and motivation I see in my challenge groups blows me away every day.  So much kindness.
  • Receiving  messages from my challengers telling me how much weight they have lost and how they have gone down in pant sizes makes my day.  I have people who have lost 25 lbs in 2 months.  GAH!  Then to hear how much their confidence has gone up?  Icing on the CAKE.
  • I am now down to a weight I was at before I had kids.  And I am so much more toned.
  • My family is learning so much about healthy eating habits.  It’s not about being on a diet.  It’s about making smart choices and still enjoying food.  Having a healthy relationship with food is key.
  • On a financial note; we paid off our car with the little extra money we have coming in!
  • I am able to donate money to my best friends adoption fund!
  • I am just overall more happy and positive.  I don’t focus on the negative things going on around me. Life is too short for that.
  • I am making lifelong friends.  Between challengers and my coaches, I now have friends all over the U.S. and Canada.  And friends who only want the BEST for me.

For real all, I am blessed.  Things happen for a reason and this came into my life right when I needed it.

P90x3 Update!

It has been a long time since I shared an update with you all about my personal fitness journey.

Here you have it. It is time to bust out the before and afters of the first 8 weeks of P90x3.  It has not been easy.  It is not a get thin quick plan.  It is real work doing 30 minute workouts 6 days a week and being smart about what I put in my body.

Day 0 – The Beginning!

1/3 of the way in. 4 weeks!

Image

8 weeks! 2/3 of the way done!

I will not lie.  I was a bit of a sceptic but this works!  Plus I have more energy and am just all around a happier person.

So what else have I been doing?  Coaching OTHERS to reach their goals.  I have had the pleasure of doing many different accountability groups with a total of 40 people over the past 45 days.  And I am starting more groups in April!

I would love for you to join me.  The more the merrier!

And I can’t wait to share with you my final 12 week results in 2 1/2 weeks!

52 Weeks of Recipes! Honey Dijon Chicken & Steamed Broccoli

So I am a bit behind on recipes for the year and for that I apologize!  Life is crazy and my free time has been spent doing my new gig as a health and fitness coach.  So…I decided to combine both worlds a little and share with you guys one of the recipes I am currently using in my free 5 day Nutrition Accountability Group!

Honey Dijon Chicken w/Steamed Garlic-Parmesan Broccoli

Ingredients per serving:

  • 6 oz chicken breast half
  • 2 Tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1 Tablespoon honey
  • 1/3 Tablespoon parsley flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup broccoli

Directions:

Mix dijon mustard with honey. Add parsley and salt.  Coat chicken breast in the mixture.  Cook on a grill for 7 minutes on each side or bake at 350 for about 30 min depending on size.  Check to ensure it is cooked all the way through.

Steam frozen or fresh broccoli and top with 1 tsp olive oil, 1/2 tsp garlic salt and parmesean cheese.

SERVE!

You guys, this meal is super easy and the whole family loved it. The two kiddos gobbled it up!

Life Update

Sometimes life happens and we just have to catchup to it right?

I am behind on this blog.  But with good reason.  Two little cuties keep me busy.  Then there is a full time job.  Then there is my new hobby of fitness/nutrition coaching.  And guess what happened in the first month of that?

Image

I went Emerald!  Which is pretty cool!  I continue to truly love helping people get on a path to reach their fitness goals and have met so many wonderful people.  Life is full of a lot of positivity right now.  I thank god for putting me on that path for I needed this.

But I do plan to update this blog with my picture posts and catch up on my recipes. :)  I am a couple of weeks behind but promise to make it up.

More soon!  Thanks for your patience while I learn to balance a whole new set of items!

Nutrition Challenge!

Hey all!  I am co-coaching a nutrition challenge starting February 24!  It is a 5 day challenge where I will provide you with a grocery list, easy to follow daily meal plan, and advice and support along the way!

Our Facebook Challenge group is being put together now so comment if you want details!  I would love for you to join us. :)

Happy Thursday!

Week 6 of #365dayswithamanda2014 and High FIVES!

Thankfully we have made it a week into February already.  I say thankfully because I don’t know about any of you but this is seriously the LONGEST.WINTER.EVER.

Say it with me now.  40 DAYS UNTIL SPRING. Anyway, it’s been another great week in my parts and I am ready to show you a picture from each day.  Don’t forget that you can follow along live on Instagram at username amandacspeese and will not have to wait until the end of the week to see the exciting things happening in our lives. ;)

Day 31: A little Keeping up with the Kardashians to end our busy week.  See what I mean about exciting lives?  I promise it gets better. ;)

Day 31

Day 32: Sienna joined us for tumbling class!  It is probably one of the safest places for a crazy, no fear 10 month old.  Padding and mats everywhere!

Day 32

Day 33: Playtime before bed.  I’m so happy these two have each other.  And seriously do they not look the same size here?

Day 33

Day 34: I started block 2 of my 12 weeks Fitness Challenge!  I can’t even begin to tell how much I have enjoyed my challenge group.  And being able to do this from the comfort of my own home.  Pretty obvious how much when I decided to become a coach too!

Day 34

Day 35: This little girl decided one day she was potty trained.  And her favorite part might be washing her hands!

Day 35

Day 36: Reading is one of our favorite things to do together.

Day 36

Day 37: Cookies after dance class!

Day 37

Now time to move onto the high fives from my week. I link up with Lauren to share in some of the joys from the week!

1) Block 2! I mentioned above that I am now in Block 2 of my 12 week fitness challenge.  I just love the people in my group and am excited so start co-coaching a challenge group in the next couple of weeks!  I am also going to put together a free nutrition challenge group.  Exiting, positive things going on!

2) Grandma time! Dan’s mom came to town this past weekend and it was so great having her around!  The girls just love being spoiled by their grandma.

3)  Dinner with friends!  Dan’s mom being in town meant we were able to go out for dinner in Des Moines!  A two-hour dinner with great conversation!  Our friends Alli and Brock always find the best restaurants for us to go to and it was great.

4) Car paid off!  I will get more into this later but we paid our car off!  It took a lot of hard work and being super cheap but we did it!  And…

5) Basement! We are moving forward with building a nice bedroom in the basement! I  can’t wait for guests to have a nice cozy place down there!

What are your high fives?
